IN the ROMAN FORUM




That's right, in it. We were specifically in the Forum of Nerva Ruins. Our chief critic got us in somehow... We were able to roam (unintended pun) around on temples and amongst broken columns. VIP artist passes betch
The Neighborhood

This is the Cenci. It's where all the RISD kids in the European Honors Program stay from January until June. It is a fourteenth century palazzo, and is gorgeous! It is constructed from travertine inside and out, and so beautifully Italian.

Nasone, Rome's unique public drinking fountains, are constantly running, bringing fresh water from the Apeninne Mountains. Rome has some of the cleanest water in the world. These fountains are much more sanitary than those found in America... Even I drink from them!

 Our teachers showed us this breathtaking view of Rome on the way back from the Fiumicino Airport.

Cats are crawling all over the city, particularly the ruins. People dump them off and then they reproduce.
Four severely jet-lagged kids. But we found the Roman Forum. Behind that is the Colosseum, which isn't pictured here.,
On the second day I stumbled across the Pantheon...

Well I really don't want to talk too much on this blog. Words get boring. Therefore I will share only the real interesting stuff, photos and sketches. Thanks for looking!

Basically Italy is beautiful and surreal. I've only ever experienced this city and what it has to offer in photos, and now that I'm here, it still does not seem real. . .
